Tompkins Wake has promoted a new senior associate and two associates.
The firm has appointed Becky Brown as senior associate, while Christine Gavin and Carlo Wan have been named associates.
Brown, who is based in the firm’s Rotorua office, specialises in dispute resolution. She has particular expertise in insolvency litigation, contractual disputes, insurance-related litigation, and debt recovery. She also advises on all aspects of employment law.
Gavin is an expert in property-related transactions, especially subdivisions. She also acts in Land Information New Zealand registrations, local government property, refinancing, and residential property transactions.
Wan, who leads the firm’s China desk, is part of the corporate and commercial team based in Auckland. He has a particular focus on business acquisitions, corporate structuring, commercial contracts, and corporate governance.
“In recognising these individuals, their skills and contribution to both the firm and our clients, it’s easy to see the Tompkins Wake values of ‘stronger together’ and ‘recognised excellence’ demonstrated,” said Tompkins Wake chief executive Jon Calder.
The appointment comes after the firm revealed that it nearly doubled its Auckland team in the past six months. The firm also recently promoted a new special counsel.
