The Lighter Side: US lawyer's two-minute ad wins the Superbowl

A lawyer in the US state of Georgia made international headlines this week after he took out a full two-minute local slot during the Superbowl half-time to vindicate his murdered brother – and drum up a bit of business.

Savannah-based personal injury lawyer, Jamie Casino, told viewers he ‘wasn’t always a personal injury lawyer’.

“I once was a notorious criminal defense lawyer who was employed by some of the most cold-hearted villains – my art brought me great wealth.”

Casino says that all changed, however, when his younger brother Michael and a friend were gunned down in 2012 and local police allegedly deceived the public about the circumstances surrounding their death, claiming Michael had been involved in criminal activity at the time of the shooting.

The testosterone-laden ad has received nearly three million views on YouTube and has generated a decidedly mixed response – many have even suggested it ought to be made into a feature-length film.

We’ll allow you to judge that one for yourself:
