One of the largest car-parking operators in Australia and New Zealand has won a major contract with the help of Buddle Findlay.
The top-tier firm has confirmed to NZ Lawyer that it advised Care Park, which has been appointed by Macquarie Principal Finance Group to manage and operate SKYCITY’S car park in Auckland.
The Buddle Findlay team was headed by partners Daniel Kelleher, Sherridan Cook, and Tony Wilkinson. The firm advised on the New Zealand aspects of Care Park’s arrangements with Macquarie.
The financial giant recently won a 30-year concession for the car park for $220m. The facility, which has 3,300 bays that serve the SKYCITY Casino and the soon-to-rise New Zealand International Convention Centre, is New Zealand’s largest car-parking operation. The deal is expected to close in July.
