Gibson Sheat has named Cameron Madgwick as its new chief executive officer.
Madgwick will commence in his new role on 29 October, the New Zealand Law Society reported. He brings to the Wellington, Lower Hutt, and Masterton firm extensive experience as a lawyer and as a leader.
Madgwick was the chairman of Community Law Centres of Aotearoa for nine years until he stepped down in 2017. He was most recently the chief executive of Energy Skills NZ and the Petroleum Exploration and Production Association New Zealand. He also previously worked at Contact Energy, Vector, and New Zealand Rugby. He is currently chair of the Laura Fergusson Trust.
The Law Society said that Madgwick will spearhead Gibson Sheat’s strategic plan, which includes growth and innovation goals.
