Four make senior associate at Simpson Grierson

Simpson Grierson has promoted four to senior associate and five to senior solicitor.

The firm’s new senior associates are Anastasiya Gutorova, Matthew Piper, Calina Tataru, and Nicole Taylor.

Gutorova, a member of the firm’s Auckland corporate team, has extensive experience in M&A, equity capital markets, and corporate governance.

Also based in Auckland, Piper is focused on employment matters, including disciplinary and termination issues, disputes between unions and employers and restructuring and acquisitions.

Tataru, who specialises in family law and is based in Auckland, is a part of the firm’s commercial litigation team. She also specialises in lease and trust litigation and maintains a civil litigation practice.

Based in Wellington, Taylor is also a member of the firm’s commercial litigation group. Her practice serves both local authority and corporate clients, advising in a range of matters including “leaky building” litigation, securities enforcement, and commercial leasing disputes.

The firm’s new senior solicitors are Meghan Bolwell (litigation) and Mike Mercer (employment) in Wellington, Miranda Gray (litigation) in Christchurch, and Mary Breckon (employment) and Henry Holmes (litigation/family law) in Auckland.
