Employment and health and safety law firm appoints new associate

Copeland Ashcroft Law has appointed Charlie Arms-Harris, a specialist in employment, immigration and health and safety law, as associate.

Based out of the firm’s Queenstown office, Arms-Harris has been working as senior solicitor at the firm since 2011.

“Charlie has demonstrated her dedication to our office and clients over an extended period of time,” said Janet Copeland, principal of Copeland Ashcroft Law.

“She is capable, committed and a valued member of the team; it is a pleasure to welcome her as our newest Associate and we look forward to seeing her career continue to flourish at Copeland Ashcroft Law.”

Arms-Harris’ expertise is employment law in the areas of employment agreements and policy, restructuring and redundancy processes, and employment and holidays legislation. She often represents clients at mediation and at the Employment Relations Authority and also advises on health and safety immigration status concerns.

Arms-Harris has law and commerce degrees from Otago University and she also studied at the Prague University of Economics in the Czech Republic.

Outside the office, Arms-Harris loves the Otago-Southland region, keeps active outdoors as is a mountain biker and snowboarder and plays basketball, football, touch, netball, squash and tennis. She also enjoys practicing yoga and cooking.
