Copeland Ashcroft Law has shored up its ranks in Dunedin with the appointment of Adam de Hamel as senior associate.
De Hamel joins the national employment and health and safety boutique from Willis Towers Watson in Melbourne, where he was a senior claims adviser. He was also previously with Duncan Cotterill and Fortune Manning, both in Auckland.
He brings a number of years of experience in dispute resolution, insurance, and insolvency and risk advisory.
“Adam is a very exciting addition to our team, as his previous experience will complement and enhance the existing talent within our team in Dunedin.” said Janet Copeland, Copeland Ashcroft Law managing partner.
De Hamel provides strategic, compliance and best-practice advice in a wide range of areas, including complex employment law claims, providing support and guidance to business clients, and dispute resolution services, the firm said. He is also experienced in health and safety, having helped companies with investigations and the prospect of prosecution.
“I am thrilled to be back in New Zealand, there’s some really exciting growth going on in Dunedin and I’m a part of a great and hardworking team. I’m looking forward to getting to know more about the community and the clients,” de Hamel said.
