Chapman Tripp has a new chief operating officer.
Sophia Gunn commenced in her new role at the top-tier firm today, moving from Deloitte New Zealand, where she was chief operating officer for the last 18 years.
“We are delighted to appoint Sophia to this role and at the helm of our senior leadership team. Sophia is highly experienced and has driven many significant projects and improvement initiatives in her career across a number of areas, including business continuity, infrastructure and systems,” said Nick Wells, Chapman Tripp’s chief executive partner.
He said Gunn’s extensive experience at both Deloitte and New Zealand Post, where she was commercial manager for more than eight years, will be a “great asset” to Chapman Tripp.
“It is an honour to accept a position with New Zealand’s leading law firm and I am excited for the challenges and opportunities it will bring,” Gunn said. “I am looking forward to contributing to the ongoing success of one of the country’s most innovative and well-regarded legal firms.”
The appointment comes at a time of exciting change at the firm, which includes its move to Precinct Properties New Zealand’s new Commercial Bay development in Auckland next year, the firm said.
