Bystanders jumped in to prise a Kiwi lawyer from underneath a London cab.

According to the Evening Standard, 42-year-old Clair Miller was heading back to her law firm office near Bank station last Monday when she was dragged beneath a taxi.

An office worker in a building above film around 30 people working together to roll the cab off her.

“All these bankers and city workers then just started dropping their briefcases and running over,” a woman at the scene told the newspaper.

Miller was treated in hospital for minor injuries then discharged.

"I feel okay, it’s going to be a wee while but I’ll get there,” she told the Evening Standard.

"It just proved that Londoners are some of the greatest people on Earth, I'm just so grateful for their help.”

Her firm, Beale & Company, added that Miller wanted to thank everyone that helped her after the accident.
