Anthony Harper has launched a health and safety practice off the back of the lateral appointment of a leading lawyer.
Grant Nicholson has been appointed by the firm as partner, making the move from Kensington Swan with new senior associate Olivia Welsh.
“Grant is recognised as a leader in the field and is rightly regarded as the go-to specialist for businesses with health and safety concerns,” said Malcolm Hurley, managing partner at Anthony Harper.
Known for his work in health and safety law, Nicholson added to the firm extensive experience in helping businesses deal with investigations and prosecutions by WorkSafe NZ and other regulators. He also provides deft advice on compliance, risk-management, and safety-leadership, and culture issues, Anthony Harper said.
"We continue to grow, and adding health and safety litigation to our leading team of litigators complements and strengthens our national service offering,” Hurley said. “I am delighted that Grant and Olivia are joining our team to provide market leading, commercially focused health and safety advice to our clients.”
The appointments of Nicholson and Welsh come after the firm promoted four and recruited five lawyers in March.
