A disgraced former lawyer from Lower Hutt has once again been convicted of fraud and sentenced to almost a year of home detention

The sentence is ridiculous. It was aiding and abetting Renshaw. Surely there are some assets he still holds which could be sold to repay the debt in full, even if it meant downsizing a home. This man should never be involved in another company or business again.

Absolutely agree and this is why the Courts have a low level of respect from the public who correctly view them as out of touch with reality and loving in their own little bubble.

Mothers who do DPB fraud (claim a benefit when not entitled to it) to feed their kids and pay their rent frequently go to prison once the amount defrauded is over $40K to the judicial chastisement, " this is theft from the community,,, easy to perpetrate hard to detect", etc etc 10 months HD for this is completely at odds with the way those women are treated.
