, has added another ten members to its legal team in a recruitment drive that increases headcount by about ten per cent.
“We are at about 100 people and the 10 additions since December 2015 are in line with our growth strategy,” said Jared Ormsby, executive chairman of Wynn Williams
“We like to take up opportunities when they arise,” he added. “In this case we had 10 outstanding people who were able to deliver on those opportunities.”
Joshua Shaw joins the firm as a Partner in Litigation & Dispute Resolution, leaving his role as Senior Crown Prosecutor and Partner at Meredith Connell.
“[Shaw] has relocated to Christchurch and joined the firm to lead the Regulatory Enforcement, Prosecution and Criminal Law team following the departure of Justice Nation who was a partner in the firm until the time of his appointment,” Ormsby said.
While at Wynn Williams
, Shaw will work with Ormsby, Jeremy Johnson and Amanda Douglas to provide dispute resolution solutions to clients throughout New Zealand.
The firm also welcomed two new associates: Kate Woods and Sophie Meares.
Woods has joined the Resource Management and Environmental Law team. She has domestic and international experience, gained through her time at Consilio, Hogan Lovells, and Buddle Findlay
