The Law Society will continue to champion change for women at the highest levels of the profession this year, including looking at an idea from Australia

    The last paragraph defines 'success' within the traditional legal model. That assumes that female lawyers have the same priorities as male lawyers. Maybe they do; maybe they don't. It only measures the success of those who do have the 'traditional' priorities. It does not allow for 'success' being (say) the ability to practise independently and honestly while making a satisfactory income and at the same time retaining one's own identity and integrity. Who says the overriding measure should be the number of QCs or partners or directors?
