An international firm has been named the world-leader in real estate... Ashurst loses another Tokyo partner to King & Spalding… Law firms told to promote ‘unbundling’ of legal services… Microsoft in gender discrimination lawsuit…

Unbundled legal services are long overdue in New Zealand and difficult to provide within the current court rules without repeatedly filing notices of change of representation. (I didn't know that was what it was called when I first provided unbundled services, and I didn't know it was controversial. I just thought it was common sense. I have since read and learnt a lot more and know it's not that simple, but it's still possible. It's also against the Fair Trading Act to tell someone they need a service that they don't. That would include full representation if they would prefer to do their own legal work with some help.)
