Congratulations. Very useful work. Some lawyers are absolutely amazing with clients and witnesses, but others sometimes have no idea their 'clear' (lawyerly) language completely misses the mark. Legal processes themselves often don't help. I recall many years ago (working for Ms Henderson's predecessor firm actually) having to tell a client he was free to go. Judge and jury had both finished, and the wardens walked away. He just stood in the dock, evidently with little comprehension of what was expected of him. It made me think. How much of the court process, and our advice - which we genuinely thought had been clear, concise and meaningful - had he really understood?
