I remember visiting the Central Police Station in Waring Taylor Street as a youngster in the 1950`s with my father (Constable W.T. Roughan who, when he died in 2007, was noted by NZPA as the last surviving policeman to have been involved in the Stanley Graham manhunt on the West Coast during WWII) to take delivery for the Masterton Police of their brand new Humber Super Snipe patrol car.
