Obtaining a masters degree or an MBA can be a great way of standing out from the pack. But which one is best for you?

Both Charles' and Kristie's views very valid. In my own case, an MBA enabled me to navigate a career change from law and into management and marketing. It was hard work, but I heartily recommend it. The success of the Nottingham Law School's MBA in legal practice is evidence of the uptake in interest from the legal sector, especially those who have an interest, not just in their clients' business, but in leading and managing their own! This Law Society Gazette article from November 2011 explores this topic further: You can only benefit from further education, be it a Masters or an MBA.
